King's Scout Award, finally.

The King's Scout Award is the highest award in the Malaysian scout movement. The King's Scout Certificate is signed by the DYMM Yang Di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia as well as the 8 State Sultans of Malaysia. The certificate is supposed to be given to the King's Scout Candidate by the DYMM Yang Di-Pertuan Agong or a State Sultan.

After a significant amount of work throughout the years, I finally received my King's Scout Badge today. Two years after I passed the whole process. I must say that I am supremely disappointed that they did not present our certificates to us today. Today was a simple ceremony at the Perangsang Golf Resort in Templer's Park.

Before the ceremony.

My ever supportive family.

Vineeta and I.

My family and I after I received my badge.

King's Scout Badge.

My peers from DU. Yes, I am the only DU guy from my year unfortunately.

Vineeta, Emily, Melody and I.

King's Scouts from 147 Petaling.
Seng Keat, Kentrick, Fook Hoy, Wei Liam and Benjamin.

My juniors.

The older batch.

Although there was nothing majestic about the ceremony and many shortcomings about it (such as us not getting our certificates even after 2 years and no royalty attending), I am very happy that I achieved this Award. "Why ?", you ask. Because the journey undertaken to achieve this Award has been nothing but rewarding. Countless camping nights, countless miles hiked, new friends made, new skills fostered, new experiences explored, new places seen and the list is too long to name. This journey has made me who I am and taught me invaluable lessons. I strongly encourage those young scouts who aspire to achieve their King's Scout Award. My only regret is that I will not be in Malaysia to guide those after me to walk down this road.

I go to hq for help him to go through the test. The problem is my son very unhappy with this. Can u give me some advice. How to let him know the scout is interesting.
