Happy 20th Birthday, Chiam Tat Ren

Indeed a lot has happened since we met in primary school, from the innocence of playing Pokemon cards to the vices of illegal gambling centres and getting absolutely trashed in clubs. Not to mention I also had to help you pee on one occasion because you were too screwed to do so. All that I ask in return is that you will help me pee if I am unable to do so and make sure Jien does not hook up with any ugly girls.

Anyway, Happy 20th Birthday. And hope to see you soon.

Back in the day when we had nothing to worry about.

Fat Chicks Rock

Disclaimer: content not suitable for persons under the age of 16. All characters appearing in this work are fictitious. Any resemblance to real persons, living, dead or undead, is purely coincidental.

"I was 17, and I met this huge, fat chick in Burger King. And by huge and fat, I mean fucking gigantic. This chick had to be at least 400 pounds. She had multiple chins, saggy arm fat and tits that just blended in with her huge gut. She stank like she hadn't washed for a few weeks. She was sitting there crying, so I decided to cheer her up.

Being somewhat of a chubby chaser, I went over and asked what was wrong - she was the same age as me, 17, and she said she was lonely. She just wouldn't stop crying no matter what I said, so I went and bought her a double bacon deluxe meal. She scarfed that shit down so fast... I've never seen anyone eat like that, except for Jabba with those greasy little frog things in Return of the Jedi. Anyway, I offered her a ride home, which she accepted, considering she could barely walk. She lifted her massive weight into my car and the suspension groaned and complained.
[16:57] Once we got back to her place, she invited me inside. She got out of the car and walked toward the door, and at that moment I was transfixed by the wobble of her ass - it was like a bathtub full of jello in the shape of a love heart. I got so hard that I put my hand in my pocket and started to stroke myself a little. By the time we got to the door she was all sweaty and out of breath. She noticed I was stroking my cock. She asked me if I could come inside and help her get into the shower.

I obliged.

We both stripped down and she hauled her gargantuan, flabby body into the shower. I helped her wash the stink and sweat off by holding up flaps of skin and spraying them with the hose attachment for the shower. She then took a hold of my raging boner, and put it into her cavernous belly button. She grabbed my ass and starting pumping me in and out, until I was ready to cum. She stopped, pulled me out, and then used her hands to part the massive flaps of fat that were hiding her VAGINA. She told me to stick it in. I did. It was like sticking a pin into a greasy, lard coated pizza. When I was in, she let go of the fat flaps, which came down onto my hips. It felt like my entire groin was being eaten by her fat. I came within the minute. I pulled myself out, covered in sweat, and a torrent of oily cum and stinking pussy juice gushed out. Best sex I've ever had.

Happy Birthday My Dear

Happy 20th Birthday my dear Kathryn. I am sincerely sorry that I am not there for your birthday (again) due to our distances. I am also sorry that I would only be giving you a belated present in a month. Since I do not know what to buy for you, I bought a flight ticket up to see you in November.

Also I suppose the best present I can give you is that I will do my best to make you happy as long as I am around.

A heart K.

Happy Birthday. A Year older, laugh more and continue being the person I love.

Passion

Many people have asked me "Do you get paid in scouts ?"
My reply would be "Even if I was offered to be paid, I would reject it. Getting paid in scouting takes away the whole meaning of scouting."

And I realise that in many instances we do things not for economics gains, not because someone told us to do it nor we do it for recognition. Instead we do some things purely for passion.

Another example is when I was Sports EXCO of the A-Levels Student Council. We were not paid, in fact we had to use some of our own expenses to carry out our jobs. I believe that what I gained from these experiences were much more than economic gains. I learned so much from them, made new friends, encountered new challenges, managed to help some people and most of all have fun.

I Remember It Well

"Daddy what is the most expensive car in the world ?"
"That would probably be a limousine, son."
"Daddy when I grow up I will buy you a limousine"

About 14 years ago my daddy worked overseas thus I did not see him that often. One time he was about to leave overseas again after being back for some time. I was in kindergarten then. I wanted to send him off to the airport to say goodbye. I wanted to spend a little more time with my daddy. But I had classes that day and daddy didn't want me to miss it. I was crying because daddy didn't let me send him off to the airport.

"Why can't I go with you to the airport ?"
Daddy kneeled down to my level and said "Because you have to go to school and become somebody important."
"You have to become somebody important so that you can buy daddy a limousine, remember ?"

I went to class that day. I still have not bought a limousine for my daddy yet. But I am working hard to become someone important to fulfill the promise.

30 Years On

When I was a little boy, my daddy was (and still is !) a huge inspiration to me. He was everything I wanted to be. One of that thing is to become a King's Scout. He would tell me all his stories about when he was a scout; how his scoutmaster treated him, all the challenges he faced, all the camps, all the hikes and so on. That was how I was inspired to achieve my King's Scout Award.

Despite all this, my daddy never insisted on me achieving the King's Scout Award. It was something I wanted for myself. Something I need to get so I could be one step closer to what he is. Throughout my scouting life, my daddy and my mummy could not be more supportive of me. They would happily bring me to camps with the boot stuffed with my equipment, pick me up after camp with a smile even though I stink like mad. When I finished my King's Scout Standardization (the last stage of the King's Scout Award), my daddy said to me " I am proud of you son." That same day I returned home to my mummy and she too had a huge smile on her face.

I just want to say here thank you for all your support mummy and daddy. I am doing my best and I hope I make you happy in my very own way. To my sister Amelia, the baton is passed on to you now. It is your turn to run this journey, however you may want to run it.

Top East Toga 2009

Last night was Top East Toga. A featured event in the Bruce calender. What do we do ? We dress up in togas and party it up in narrow hallways of Top East. The theme this year is Romans & Barbarians. Although some fool stole some of my alcohol during the night, it was an incredible night of song, dance, drink and socialising.

Here in Bruce, we truly do.

Tony and I.

Joel the Barbarian.

Barbarians kill Romans. Jess and Oli.

Kiralee, Alyce and Hannah with the beer bong.

Tony, John, Joel and Phil. We were singing Number 2. A song to scull.

We make staffs out of beer cans too.

Jimmy Criticos.

AJ and I.

Roo, Aiko and I.

The hallway of Top East.

Togas, togas and more togas.

A further testament to how *boring* Canberra is.

Heroes Do Exist

The Tale of Terry Fox
by Michael A. Aun, FIC, LUTCF, CSP, CPAE Speaker Hall of Fame

When I first met Terry Fox, we were joined together on a program in Toronto, Ontario, Canada before 4,000 Toastmasters at an international convention in 1978. We were both scheduled to speak to the group. I was competing for the World Championship of Public Speaking. Terry was competing for something far more important than trophies and awards. Terry Fox was competing for his life.

At the young age of 22, freckle-faced Terry Fox lost his life to a battle with cancer. Some of his Canadian brethren died with him.

On April 12, 1980, twenty-one year old Terry Fox began what has come to be known as his “Marathon of Hope.” Succumbing to cancer in the prime of his life, Fox decided he would bring attention to the awful disease with a marathon. He began a marathon across Canada with reporters and cameramen on his heels as he sought to cross his native land on foot.

Terry Fox lost his leg to cancer when he was a teenager. While in the hospital going through chemo, he was affected by the amount of suffering in the cancer ward and decided that, in his words, “Somewhere the hurting must stop.” He decided to run across Canada to raise funds for cancer research, running 28- 30 miles per day on one real leg and one artificial leg.

Three thousand three hundred thirty nine miles later, a choked up nation looked on as a young Terry Fox collapsed short of his goal. The unprecedented challenge to a nation brought an estimated $35 million in for cancer research as Fox’s dramatic run across Canada fell short as his health finally failed him.

In an earlier attempt to stop the cancer from spreading across his body, Fox underwent the amputation of his right knee. Now with the support of an artificial leg, he began the dramatic race to Canada’s west coast with his right leg amputated just above the knee. A tearful world looked on when he started in St. John’s Newfoundland, the point where North America reaches the farthest into the Atlantic Ocean.

With one artificial leg, Fox set out on his journey completing 28-30 miles per day along the Trans-Canada Highway, the narrow concrete and asphalt ribbon that spans the second largest nation on earth. With the world cheering him on through the eyes of the press, Terry Fox fought his biggest battle ever, and lost. His dramatic termination run in Thunder Bay brought an outpouring of emotion, the likes of which Canada has never seen before.

On September 1, 1980, 143 days and 3,339 miles into his “Marathon of Hope” across Canada, Terry was forced to stop running outside Thunder Bay, Ontario because the cancer had spread to his lungs. On June 28, 1981, he died at the age of 22. Nearly 6,000 Torontonians signed a petition urging creation of a commemorative stamp in Terry’s honor. A monument was erected at the Thunder Bay site where Terry’s courageous marathon ended. After months of resisting, Canada agreed to honor Terry’s Marathon of Hope on a stamp.

Terry Fox was awarded the Order of Canada, the country’s highest civilian recognition. A ballad was written about his cross-country endeavor, and campaigns for official government recognition of Terry’s Marathon of Hope sprang up all over Canada.

As he lay on his deathbed, Terry Fox said goodbye to a gracious nation and an emotional world that many felt were unable to believe in heroes anymore. Thin and pale, Terry developed a bronchitis-like infection and was spitting blood. A tearful nation looked on in prayer as young Terry Fox began the final 385 yards of his personal “Marathon for Life.”

Terry Fox’s life was not given in vain. There are hundreds of trivial sayings one could apply to the situation: “A winner never quits; a quitter never wins…” or “Winning isn’t everything; it’s the only thing.” Winning for Terry Fox was the breath of life. Perhaps the greatest tribute to Terry Fox is the fact that the foundation that he helped start has now raised $360 million for cancer research, about $10 for every Canadian citizen.

Here's another tribute to you Terry, may you be an inspiration to us all and a reminder that what we do here..... does count.

King's Scout Award, finally.

The King's Scout Award is the highest award in the Malaysian scout movement. The King's Scout Certificate is signed by the DYMM Yang Di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia as well as the 8 State Sultans of Malaysia. The certificate is supposed to be given to the King's Scout Candidate by the DYMM Yang Di-Pertuan Agong or a State Sultan.

After a significant amount of work throughout the years, I finally received my King's Scout Badge today. Two years after I passed the whole process. I must say that I am supremely disappointed that they did not present our certificates to us today. Today was a simple ceremony at the Perangsang Golf Resort in Templer's Park.

Before the ceremony.

My ever supportive family.

Vineeta and I.

My family and I after I received my badge.

King's Scout Badge.

My peers from DU. Yes, I am the only DU guy from my year unfortunately.

Vineeta, Emily, Melody and I.

King's Scouts from 147 Petaling.
Seng Keat, Kentrick, Fook Hoy, Wei Liam and Benjamin.

My juniors.

The older batch.

Although there was nothing majestic about the ceremony and many shortcomings about it (such as us not getting our certificates even after 2 years and no royalty attending), I am very happy that I achieved this Award. "Why ?", you ask. Because the journey undertaken to achieve this Award has been nothing but rewarding. Countless camping nights, countless miles hiked, new friends made, new skills fostered, new experiences explored, new places seen and the list is too long to name. This journey has made me who I am and taught me invaluable lessons. I strongly encourage those young scouts who aspire to achieve their King's Scout Award. My only regret is that I will not be in Malaysia to guide those after me to walk down this road.

Kuala Lumpur, Hello.

Home seemed so far away a few months ago. But now I am home just for a week to see family, friends, eat good food and get some important business done.

This will be the only time I am home for some time to come. Those who are close to me know the main reason why I am back all of a sudden.

P.S.
What the heck is wrong with Malaysian weather ?

P-Weekend and Bush Week

In Semester 1, we have Orientation Week (O-Week) to welcome the new students in Bruce and ANU. What happened in O-Week 2009 is a story for another time. In Semester 2, there is P-Weekend and Bush Week (first week in Semester 2) which is packed with activities as well to welcome any new students that come in during this time of the year.

Here's what happened during the past week or so during P-Weekend and Bush Week. First event occured last last Friday which was Scribble Bar Night. Idea is you bring a white shirt to the Buttery (our very own Bruce Bar) and scribble on everyone else.

Scribble, scribble, scribble.... Roo and Kathryn

More scribble. Kristina and Siang.

No space on your shirt ? No problem, there is always your body.

Hitting a club after a bar night as per Bruce tradition.

After that night, it was breakfast trivia in the morning, champagne included. So... drinking was resumed the next morning. Nothing too interesting that morning except for one table getting drunk a tad bit too fast. Later that night we had a Fire Pit Night. Was a pretty chilled night. Some casual drinks and sitting around a big fire in the cold Canberra winter just chilling out.

Fuer frei !

Dean, Aiko and I.

Mariella the Austrian.

A chilled night out by the fire.

And then last Sunday was Back To School Bar Night. It is a night where you dress in your old school uniform or someone else's or make up your own uniform. My school uniform is way cooler than all of of yours. Anyway...

Christian and I.

Tony Rusden.

Crutches didn't stop him from partying. What's your excuse ?

Christine and I. It's all about the ties.

Aiko is not in her Japanese school uniform. That skirt is way too long to be Japanese.

A great deal of thanks goes out to Miss Eleanor Cannon whose tie I stole for the night.

And finally, last Wednesday we had Christmas In July which Kathryn was able to witness first hand. This time people dressed up Christmas-themed for dinner and a bar night after. Dinner was slightly special with prawns and oysters. FREAKING OYSTERS for Hall food man !

A red candy cane with white stripes & a white candy cane with white stripes.

Mr. & Mrs. Claus reading out the Nice and Naughty List.

AJ.... the rather disturbing lunberjack. He is Bruce's jock afterall.

Dave, Oli and I. 2 partying doctors.

My stripes were gone. =(

P-Weekend and Bush Week was massive fun for most of us. We met and welcomed more new people into our community. Although the stress in Semester 2 will kick in, we will have more events to have our fun and enjoy it with our friends, both new and old.
